2. Privacy Policy

Recoupant may collect information that customers voluntarily provide, information generated through use of the Services, information received from connected third-party systems, and technical information necessary to operate and secure the Services.
2.2 Account and Business Information
Depending on the Services used, information may include names, business names, email addresses, contact information, subscription information, business metrics, assessment responses, account identifiers, and other information supplied by customers.
2.3 Connected-System Information
When a customer authorizes an integration, Recoupant may receive information made available through that integration for purposes described by the applicable feature and authorization flow.
The scope of information depends on the permissions granted, integration capabilities, third-party policies, and customer configuration.
2.4 Revenue-Recovery Information
Recoupant may process assessments, transaction-related information, revenue-recovery opportunities, verification results, recovery actions, recovery outcomes, reports, and related records in order to provide the Services.
2.5 AI Processing
Recoupant may process applicable information through automated analytical systems and AI-assisted tools to identify patterns, generate recommendations, support customer interactions, and provide revenue-recovery functionality.
2.6 Payment Information
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
Recoupant does not intentionally store raw payment-card numbers, CVV/security codes, or similar full payment-card credentials in its application databases.
For recurring subscriptions, the applicable payment provider may securely store or tokenize payment-method information necessary to process authorized recurring payments.
2.7 How We Use Information
Recoupant may use information to provide, maintain, secure, improve, personalize, and support the Services; process subscriptions and payments; perform revenue-recovery analysis; verify opportunities; execute authorized actions; generate reports; communicate with customers; prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
2.8 Information Sharing
Recoupant may share information with service providers and third parties where necessary to operate the Services, process payments, provide integrations, deliver communications, maintain security, provide analytics, support advertising where applicable, or satisfy legal obligations.
Recoupant does not intentionally sell customer revenue-recovery data or connected financial-system data as a commercial data product.
2.9 Data Retention
Recoupant may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate operational purposes.
2.10 Data Security
Recoupant applies reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed.
Additional infrastructure and security controls may be provided by Recoupant's hosting and infrastructure providers as described in the Security & Infrastructure section below.
2.11 Customer Rights and Requests
Depending on applicable law, customers may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or other processing of personal information.
Requests may be submitted using the contact information provided by Recoupant.
2.12 Cookies and Similar Technologies
Recoupant and applicable third-party providers may use cookies, browser storage, device identifiers, analytics technologies, and similar mechanisms to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Services.
Where required by applicable law, Recoupant will provide appropriate notices and consent or preference mechanisms.
2.13 Advertising and Google AdSense
Recoupant may use third-party advertising services, including Google AdSense, to display advertisements on portions of the Recoupant website, applications, or other Services.
Advertising is currently intended to be associated with the Recovery Audit plan and applicable portions of the Recoupant Services that are designated as ad-supported.
The Recovery Pro and Recovery MAX plans are intended to provide an ad-free experience within the Recoupant Services covered by those subscriptions.
Third-party advertising providers may collect or receive certain information through cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, advertising identifiers, or similar technologies in connection with the delivery, measurement, personalization, and reporting of advertisements.
Depending on applicable law, user settings, available consent mechanisms, and the advertising provider's practices, advertising information may be used to:
- Display advertisements
- Measure advertising performance
- Prevent fraudulent or invalid advertising activity
- Limit repetitive advertisements
- Personalize advertisements
- Understand general advertising and audience activity
- Improve advertising services
Third-party advertising providers may use information collected through their advertising technologies according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.
Recoupant does not intentionally provide third-party advertising providers with sensitive customer information solely for the purpose of advertising unless expressly disclosed and permitted by applicable law.
Recoupant does not intentionally provide advertising providers with customer revenue-recovery data, connected financial-system data, opportunity records, recovery records, or similar sensitive business information solely for advertising purposes unless expressly disclosed and permitted by applicable law.
Information used to provide Recoupant's revenue-recovery Services and information used for advertising purposes may be subject to different processing purposes and controls.
Where applicable law requires consent before certain advertising cookies, personalized advertising, or similar technologies are used, Recoupant may request that consent before enabling the applicable technology.
Users may also have choices regarding personalized advertising, cookies, or advertising identifiers through their browser, device, operating system, or applicable third-party advertising provider.
Because third-party advertising services may change their technologies, products, policies, or data practices, Recoupant may update its advertising practices and this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Advertising does not constitute part of the revenue-recovery analysis performed for paid customers unless expressly stated as part of a specific Recoupant feature.
